Venhill line up a record breaker

Venhill lines help to make the longest bike in the world

Venhill helped to make the world's longest motorcycle a reality by supplying control cables to Colin Furze.  The self-confessed nutcase previously constructed a DIY wall-of-death and for 2009 decided to build motorcycle longer than a double decker bus.

Using two 50c Honda Sky mopeds and aluminium trellis, 29 year-old Furze built the 14.26 metre long motorcycle in an attempt to break the current world record of 9.6 metres.  In order to to break the record Furze not only had to build the bike but also to  ride it for a minimum of 100 metres, which he did with ease.

Another great British engineering success!
