Lands End to John O'Groats by bicycle

Venhill's Managing Director got on his bike for charity and pedaled from Lands End to John O'Groats.

"The ride was great fun, traveling from a baking hot Lands’ End to a wintery John O’Groats. Mind you a Scottish tail wind of 45 miles per hour was quite exciting!" says Max.

It took 15 days to cycle the 1,083 miles from one end of the country to the other, averaging 72 miles per day. Total elevation climbed was 16,595m (nearly twice the height of Everest, at 8,848m).

Max burned 49,781 calories during his trip, but won't admit to the number of cakes eaten en route to replace them.
