With more than 50 years’ experience and our own factory in the UK, Venhill can produce and deliver prototype cables to precise specifications relatively quickly. This allows manufacturers to test them in their products and make any adjustments before placing an order.

Short-run manufacturing

With mass-production, there are a lot of costs up front and changing the design can be incredibly expensive. Venhill manufactures short-run batches, with much lower set-up costs and the flexibility to change specification between batches. This is particularly useful for new designs of product, where small changes are often required after launch into the market.

Not only is Venhill ISO 9001 accredited for quality management, we also batch test all our cable components to ensure consistently high quality.

Introduced in 1994, Venhill Featherlight cabling is perfect for demanding applications, because it is designed to deliver performance and durability along with smoother action.

Each cable features Venhill's high quality Featherlight cabling. Marine-grade stainless steel wire for minimum stretch and a PTFE ‘teflon’ liner for minimum friction and a lighter action. The liner also removes the need for lubrication.

The cables are also ‘bird-caged'. This is a special process applied to the end of the inner wire, which allows solder to penetrate the weave of the cable, making the bond with the nipple much stronger. The process adds extra strength and durability and reduces cable breakage when put under repeated stress and pressure.
