    Correct length and mounting ends for my RE 650. It swapped perfectly with the stock cable and had all the necessary hardware. It feels lighter and smoother but barely on this brand new bike. The expected payback is that the new cable will last longer and needs no ongoing lubrication. Self-installers note carefully, the routing and positioning of the fatter sleeve portion. (It can be slid towards either end). It needs to protect the cable where it passes through the steering head and where it makes a sharp bend. Before removing it, note exactly where the original cable threads past the other cables through the steering head too. It could place strain on other components if threaded incorrectly. One last thing, the clips that hold the cable against the down-tube and away from the right exhaust header need careful prying out from their holes. Don't break them; they are essential to keep the clutch cable properly secured.
