Venhill-supported Melbray London join forces with Laycock Racing for an attack on Sportbike TT

This year's Supertwin podium finishers Melbray London have joined forces with the very experienced Laycock racing team to mount a full on attack of the new Sportbike class in the 2026 Isle of Man TT.

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Eddie Laycock and his very experienced team Laycock racing" say said Simon Warren, team owner of Melbray London. "I have been a great fan of Eddie since I was a kid. His bike preparation is exemplary and both as a rider and team owner his results on the roads and GPs speak for themselves".

The team will run the same Paton SR-1 supertwin that Dom Herbertson took to a great 5th and podium 3rd place at this year's TT. At present the bike is having a complete nut and bolt strip down and rebuild in preparation for next year's event.

Eddie Laycock commented; "We are so looking forward to next year's TT and teaming up with Simon and the Melbray London team. They are a great family team and have a great bike. We are working hard at present on the upgrades in preparation to being at the sharp end at the 2026 new Sportbike class at the TT".

The team will again be supported by Venhill Ltd, alongside The Bike Shed London, The Shed at Laxey and Birch Automotive Gatwick.

The team are as yet undecided on a rider and an announcement will be made in due course. Watch this space!
