The VDEC Universal Decompressor Cable Kit is designed to make starting large-capacity two-stroke motorcycles easier and more controllable, and is ideal for high-compression engines. The system allows the rider to momentarily release cylinder pressure during kick-starting, reducing both kick-back and the effort required to turn the engine over
The kit incorporates a decompressor valve with an M14 x 1.25 thread, suitable for cylinder heads that accept a standard 14 mm spark plug thread. Operated by a handlebar-mounted lever and clamp-on cable assembly, the decompressor can be activated instantly during starting and released once the engine fires, restoring full compression for normal running.
